Ceremony for the Presentation of AUN-QA Accreditation Certificates for Academic Programs; Announcement and Appointment of Associate Professors and Management Officials, and the 2024 Annual Review Ceremony.

Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huu Duc, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang, President of Thuongmai University; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Viet, Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Van Su, Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Nhuan, Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Thai, Chairman of the University Trade Union; and Dr. Phan Thu Trang, Secretary of the University Youth Union. Also present were heads and deputy heads of the university’s departments and offices, leaders of subordinate units, and the Secretary to the Board of Presidents.

During the ceremony, representatives of the university’s leadership presented certificates and flowers of congratulations to three academic units whose programs successfully achieved accreditation under the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) standards. The accredited programs included those of the Institute of Accounting and Auditing, the Institute of Business Administration, and the Faculty of Finance and Banking.

AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance) represents a set of rigorous standards encompassing numerous criteria for higher education quality. Each standard includes clear and specific indicators, focusing on the conditions and mechanisms that ensure the overall quality of academic programs.

The three programs accredited this year by the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) reflect the dedication, responsibility, and continuous efforts of the three academic units involved, as well as the collective commitment of Thuongmai University’s faculty and staff. This achievement reaffirms the university’s academic quality and reputation as an institution that places quality assurance at the core of its sustainable development strategy.

At the same ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Lan, Head of the Human Resources Office, under the authorization of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang, President of Thuongmai University, announced the Decisions on the Appointment of Associate Professors in Economics for 2024. The appointed associate professors include Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Dat from the Faculty of International Economics and Business, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Nguyet from the Institute of Business Administration, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Thi Huong from the Faculty of Economic Mathematics, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Tham from the Faculty of Political Theory, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Nguyet from the Faculty of International Economics and Business, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Vinh from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Also on this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Lan announced the Decisions on the Appointment of Department Heads for two officials: Mr. Le Xuan Cu, Head of the Department of E-Commerce under the Faculty of Economic Information Systems and E-Commerce, and Ms. Hoang Thi Tham, Head of the Department of the History of the Communist Party of Vietnam under the Faculty of Political Theory.

As part of the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang, President of Thuongmai University, delivered a summary of the university’s activities in 2024. Accordingly, during the year, alongside continuous efforts to improve teaching quality and training activities, Thuongmai University focused on research and gradually applied digital transformation in education management, teaching, learning, assessment, and scientific research. The university also made significant progress in scientific and technological research, and achieved proud accomplishments in international cooperation, testing, and quality assurance.
