International Student Welcome Program – Semester I, Academic Year 2025 – 2026

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Assoc. Prof., PhD Hà Văn Sự – Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof., PhD Nguyễn Thị Minh Nhàn – Head of the Office of Scientific and International Affairs; Dr. Đinh Thị Phương Anh – Deputy Head of the Office of Scientific and International Affairs; and Dr. Nguyễn Thị Thùy Dương – Deputy Director of the International Training Institute, along with exchange students from France, Russia, Hungary, China, and students in the international partnership program from the University of Rouen (France), creating a lively and open international exchange atmosphere.

During the ceremony, Assoc. Prof., PhD Hà Văn Sự emphasized that the presence of these students not only brings fresh perspectives to the University’s academic community but also helps create a multicultural educational environment—where knowledge, respect, and friendship are nurtured daily—and reflects the strong international cooperation that Thuongmai University has built and continues to develop.

As part of the program, international students were introduced to an overview of the academic environment at Thuongmai University, including training regulations, the assessment system, student support services, and opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities and student clubs. This orientation step is essential to help them quickly adapt to the new learning environment.

Prior to the ceremony, student assistants from Thuongmai University organized a campus tour to help international students familiarize themselves with the study areas, library, lecture halls, and common spaces.

The International Student Welcome Program at Thuongmai University not only serves as a greeting and initial orientation but also clearly demonstrates the University’s commitment to building an open, multicultural, and comprehensive educational environment, supporting international students throughout their academic journey. It is also an opportunity for international students to meet, connect with faculty, peers, and the Vietnamese student community, thereby creating memorable experiences, forming sustainable relationships, and opening the way for a successful semester.
